Almost settled ...

It is six months since we moved and builder is towards the tail end of repairs/maintenance picked on the 90-day maintenance inspection. The maintenance supervisor has kept up the good rapport and has been very helpful. Minor issues were detected and were quickly fixed by Casaview's in-house maintenance team. With so much building happening around, brick cleaners are in demand which is why we had some delays in getting one to clean up a few patches around the house. Overall, the quality of brick laying is great!!

Casaview was told of the mediocre performance of their carpet installers and they were very supportive in ensuring all issues found with the installation were fixed to our satisfaction. The tile laying was done well but I recently found out that the Lappato porcelain tiles can have a narrower grout as opposed to what we were advised by the tile suppliers.

Original plan was to get Crimsafe doors but dealing with Wynstan was a nightmare but we were rescued by a local supplier who gave us a good value for money doors from his range. Also completed is the fencing which again was done by a reputable local who has used galvanised steel reinforcements and brackets on the otherwise not-so durable pine fence. I still don't understand why the Council is promoting timber fencing when in it is known to have significantly shorter life compared to Colorbond and has a detrimental effect on the environment.
